Perfect for beginning and experienced fiber artists alike, this class will introduce you to the fundamentals of creating beautiful, textured surfaces using a punch needle and yarn. You will learn the essential basics of this medium, including setting up your fabric on a frame, mastering the proper technique for looping the yarn, and how to finish your piece. Working with colorful yarns, you will create a customized ‘mug rug’ (coaster) to brighten your home or use as a small wall hanging. This is a wonderfully meditative and accessible craft—there are endless possibilities once you have mastered the technique! (Ages 13+)
