Printmaking 101-Carving Rubber Stamps $49 includes take home materials
Block printing is a super fun and creative medium that has a very quick learning curve. In this class you will learn to begin printmaking by carving into soft rubber stamp blocks using a Speedball linoleum cutter. With simple carving tools and your design sensibilities, you can carve a custom set of stamps to add personality and zip to stationery, textiles and more. Perfect for holiday cards, wrapping paper, scrapbooks, cards, art journaling, and mixed media, hand-carved rubber stamps help you add your own unique mark to your work.
We will be working with 4 X 6 carving blocks. Please bring in an image that you would like to try out. The simpler the better. The block is easily cut into pieces so you may bring a 4 x 6 image or 2 smaller images. I will show you how to easily transfer the images to the blocks. I will also have images to share.
Feel free to bring any cotton textile if you would like to try fabric printing. A t-shirt or dish towel works well. I will have copy paper and card stock for you.
Your ticket price includes take home materials of a Linoleum cutting set and an extra 4 x 6 rubber carving block to get you started at home. I will also share a full materials list with links after the class.

Class Cancellation Policy
Class cancellations up to 48 hours prior to the event will receive either a credit towards a future class OR a refund minus a 15% cancellation fee
Class no-shows or cancellations, for any reason, with less than 48 hours notice will not be refunded or credited.
Multi-Week Classes-You will not be eligible for a refund if you miss a class or classes during a multi-week session. Multi-week classes are nonfundable.
Weather: We determine our cancellations based on the weather in Portsmouth. If we decide to cancel a class due to weather, we will email all attendees at least 2 hours before the start of class. If you do not hear from us, the class will proceed on time. If the class is cancelled due to weather. We will offer a make-up date. If you can not attend the make-up class, we will happily return your money, or you may keep it as an ArtSpot credit.
Camp Cancellation Policy
Cancellations up to 7 days prior to the start date of a camp session will receive either a credit towards a future camp session OR a refund minus a 20% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made within 1 week of a camp session start date will receive a credit towards a future camp session.
Camp cancellations within 72 hours /no-shows will not be refunded or credited.
All tickets are transferable. Please note that if the minimum number of participants has not been met for any classes, they may be canceled or rescheduled. In this case, alternative class times may be offered, or registration fees will be fully refunded. All tickets are transferable.
