Join us for an inspiring Blackout Poetry Art Class, where creativity meets reimagined literature! This unique workshop invites participants to transform old pages of text into original works of art by using black markers to selectively blackout words and phrases, revealing new meanings and narratives from the remnants. Whether you’re a seasoned poet, an art enthusiast, or a complete beginner, this class encourages experimentation and self-expression in a supportive environment. Emma holds a bachelors degree in Creative Writing and has a passion for multi-media art.

If you have pages at home you’d like to use you are welcome to bring them in otherwise we provide all the materials to get you started. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with your own stunning blackout poetry creations. If you enjoy multi-media, Emma will also provide additional materials to make your pages pop.
