This mitten-making workshop sounds amazing! Can’t you just picture those cozy, handmade mittens—perfect for winter weather and such a thoughtful, personal gift. The fact that you get to bring your own sweaters gives you the freedom to choose colors and patterns that suit your style, which adds a special touch to the mittens. Plus, repurposing old sweaters is a fantastic way to give them new life and keep them out of the landfill.
Jan’s guidance through the entire process—from cutting to finishing—sounds like a great way to learn, and with the small class size (only 6 students per session), it should be a very hands-on, personalized experience. It’s also nice that teens and tweens with some sewing experience can join in. I’m sure they’ll feel proud of the mittens they make!
At $59, it seems like a great value, especially since you get to take home a finished product in just a few hours. Do you have a favorite sweater you’d love to turn into mittens, or are you still on the hunt for the perfect one?
Choose from 9-12:30PM or 1:30-5PM. Space is limited to 6 students each session
Please note: Our sewing studio is in our 2nd floor loft. There are 13 stairs.
