This is Class #2 of a 2 week class.. Wood & lino cut printmaking is created by carving an image into a block of wood or linoleum. Areas that are cut away carry no ink, while characters or images at surface level carry the ink to produce the print. No experience necessary.
You will create interesting personal designs to transfer to textiles or paper. The block may be used over and over to print on paper, shirts, bags, towels or make art for your walls. Sally will teach you all the techniques you need to know to continue this art form at home. Materials included. Children 8 and over welcome with adult. This art includes using a sharp tool.
If you would like to print on tea towels, shirts etc. Please bring them with you.
